(…) bridges are intended to replace one or several missing teeth, using healthy or unhealthy adjacent teeth as supports: these supports are called pillar teeth. In the classical and most recent forms, the pillars are situated at either end of the prosthesis and the supporting teeth that form these pillars are entirely prepared (4).
